The ketogenic diet which is widely known as the ‘’Keto’’ diet is actually a diet that it is similar to fasting.
Your goal is to get your body into the state of ketosis. When your body enters this state, it will start to use the stored fat as a source of energy, instead of the glucose it used to use.
You can get into the state of ketosis with fasting, dieting, or by using exogenous ketones.
If you want to know for sure if your body has entered the state of ketosis is if you measure the levels of glucose with a device called Precision Xtra. When the device indicates 0.5mmol of concentration, it shows that your body is in the state of very light ketosis. When the device shows 1mmol or higher, it is shown that people start to experience strong mental clarity.

Dr Dominic usually consumes a lot of MCT oil powder instead of having a proper lunch. However, if you choose to eat a meal, you should eat:

* Chicken (grilled) with tomatoes and lettuce
* Pork Chops with asparagus, mushrooms, coconut butter
So, you probably noticed that you can eat proteins, but no more than 100g. You can eat more if you are doing heavy workouts. You should always eat vegetables on your lunch because they are the ones to trigger the fat burning procedure and get you into ketosis.
For dinner you should always eat a little bit of chicken, fish, or beef and a large salad. Also, you can have a little bit of Parmesan or feta cheese. You can mix veggies as much as you like. You should only watch that the calories you eat come mostly from fat.
